DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in Condor, which can be exploited
by malicious people to bypass certain security restrictions.
The vulnerability is caused due to the application improperly
verifying an IP address when handling reverse DNS lookups of a host
name and can be exploited to bypass the host-based authentication via
a specially crafted reverse DNS record and e.g. stop the application
or perform certain other actions as administrator or other users.
Successful exploitation requires host-based authentication to be
enabled and knowledge about the configuration of the target
application daemons.
The vulnerability is reported in versions prior to 7.8.2.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 7.8.2.
PROVIDED AND/OR DISCOVERED BY:
