DESCRIPTION:
Vikas Singhal has reported a vulnerability in IBM Lotus Sametime,
which can be exploited by malicious users to execute arbitrary script
code.
Input passed to the Sametime client via e.g. a hyperlink is not
properly sanitised before being displayed to the user. This can be
exploited to e.g. execute arbitrary script code when a user performs
a mouse-over action in a specially crafted message.
The vulnerability affects versions 7.5 and 7.5.1.
SOLUTION:
Reportedly fixed in version 8.0 and targeted for the next release in
the 7.5.1 code stream.
