DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in Symantec pcAnywhere, which can
be exploited by malicious, local users to cause a DoS (Denial of
Service).
The vulnerability is caused due to a format string error within the
processing of CHF file path names, which can be exploited to crash
the application.
The vulnerability is reported in versions 12.0, 12.1, and 12.5.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 12.5 SP1 (updates have also been issued via
LiveUpdate).
