DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been discovered in ProVJ, which can potentially
be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error when processing
playlist files and can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer
overflow e.g. when a user is tricked into opening a specially crafted
.m3u playlist file.
Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 5.1.5.5. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Do not open playlist files from untrusted sources.
